Where things land in Slack

Which channel is which, what posts by itself, and where humans are supposed to talk.

Most channels in this workspace are written by automation, not by people. Knowing which is which stops you from posting into a feed nobody reads, and stops you from "fixing" a card by replying to it.

Channel names below were read off the live workspace on 2026-09-10.

Channels you talk in

ChannelWhat it is for
#1-a-team-announcementsAnything that changes how the day runs. Read it.
#1-b-team-general-chatThe whole team. Where you say something is broken.
#1-c-closer-chatClosers.
#1-d-setter-chatSetters and dialers. Speed-to-lead chasing happens in here.
#1-f-team-winsPost the wins. This is the one channel where showing off is the job.

Channels the robots write

Do not post in these. Read them.

ChannelFires when
#3-b-funnel-applicationsSomeone submits an application. Dialers: this is your starting gun.
#3-a-webinar-sign-upsSomeone registers for a webinar.
#3-e-booked-callsA sales call is booked.
#3-d-confirmed-callsA booked call gets confirmed.
#3-f-cancelled-callsA booked call is cancelled.
#3-c-dial-attemptsDial activity (private).
#3-pre-webinar-conversationsPre-webinar conversations logged in Close.
#4-b-new-paymentsA payment succeeds.
#4-a-unsuccessful-paymentA payment fails. Closers: this one is about your deal — act on it.
#4-c-closed · #4-d-deposit · #4-f-no-close · #4-e-disqualified · #4-g-no-showThe outcome you picked on a post-call form, fanned out one channel per outcome.
#2-b-setter-eod · #2-a-closer-eodEnd-of-day reports and chases.
#5-b-emergency-notificatonsSomething in the automation broke. Not your job to fix — but if this channel is busy, expect cards to be missing.

Three things worth knowing

  1. A card in Slack is a copy, not the record. The record is in Close, Airtable and the portal. Correcting a card by replying to it changes nothing anywhere.
  2. If a card is wrong, say so in #1-b-team-general-chat and tag Jordan. Wrong cards mean a broken automation, and it will be wrong for everybody until someone says.
  3. If a card you expected never appeared, that is worth reporting too — a silent gap is exactly what a broken alert looks like from your side.
